I listened to a snippet that was posted online and was surprised to hear female voices singing "Standing On The Corner." Huh?
It's an all-female cast. Though like 1776, I'm assuming the characters still have their original written genders.
I have nothing against gender bending, but it does seem like it's starting to be the new version of "the cast plays their own instruments." You gotta get a gimmick...and then use it in every show...:-) |
