Drabinsky in this article reminds me a lot of Tom Bailey as told in the song "Swing Your Projects" from Subways Are for Sleeping.
Another example (for film buffs) is that of Henry Barnard in the 1937 classic Lost Horizon (as played by Thomas Mitchell). When we hear his story (which sounds a lot like Drabinsky's), we can't decide if he is just another Wall Street shyster or a charismatic, well meaning, but unlucky businessman. |
