An excellent portrait of an actor's journey. And insightful about the humble life a very successful and acclaimed NY actor might lead.
My fave passage:
For years after she moved to New York, office jobs — copy editing, proofreading, word processing — kept her afloat. When “Kimberly Akimbo” opened Off Broadway in 2003, she said, five of her ex-bosses came to see it with their wives.
Side note: I wasn't a big fan of "Epiphany." It's certainly an ideal role for her, but the play itself...eh. Great ensemble work but really doesn't say anything in the end. |
