You're right. I should have just said that An American in Paris had failed to recoup its investment when it closed its run on Broadway. Most likely the tour, which lasted a year and 8-1/2 months, made the show profitable.
BTW, you and ryhog were correct about The Lehman Trilogy. About 5 hours after I posted the statement from BWW, I received a text from an insider friend of mine who confirmed that it did indeed recoup, but the details of exactly how remain murky. Do you know if it received covid insurance money? |
