| Absolutely nothing! It's a turn. I suppose PAL JOEY was one of those transition shows where the old style that Rodgera & Hart started in was beginning to phase out. We never see Melba again after it (unless there is a revised book I am forgetting about?). "Jeanette's Showbiz Number" in THE FULL MONTY always struck me as the same type of song: a chance for a performer with personality to shine and really not much more than that. |
