| Really well said. It is a very entertaining clip, totally aimed at exciting the listener. I realize it is really out of context and we're not really supposed to see any "character" in the singing but I had no idea I was watching anything from a period musical. Who are these people? It might as well have been "We Are The World"! I have always been a Shaiman/Whitman fan. No one writes pastiche like them. I am reminded of "Good Morning Baltimore" and it's infectious, ear-worm quality. Although entertaining, this song had none of those qualities. I still look forward to more. |
