| But I need to get this off my chest before going to an appointment. He has his head wedged. On so many things. How many typical Broadway sopranos could have possible acted and sung Glitter and Be Gay as Barbara Cook did. How many others could sing Lansbury's Best Pies in London and have won 4 Best Actress in a Musical. Gwen could dance AND sing AND act. Carol made Dolly work and did it very well. She is the only Dolly I have ever seen who was both a personality as Dolly and an actor as Dolly. Midler was a personality and great. Donna Murphy acted the hell out of the part. Channing is wonderful on the Archy and Mehitabel recording |
