A BEAUTIFUL NOISE in Boston
Posted by: dooey 11:26 am EDT 07/21/22

After 2 canceled performances, I finally saw A BEAUTIFUL NOISE and really enjoyed it! I laughed, was moved, got choked up and cheered.

Boston critics were kind, but I honestly, I think critics are going to savage it once it moves to B'way (a bit formulaic with some of the songs awkwardly shoe-horned in). The cast however is excellent. Will Swenson is a frickin' god as young Neil (that voice and presence!) and Marc Jacoby is terrific. And the ensemble is sensational. Hope it does well in NY, but I'm doubtful...

Other thoughts/opinions?
