I had tickets for this in Los Angeles before the all-female model was announced. The producer did a special price of "$17.76" per ticket. The show was quickly cancelled due to pandemic and I truly felt I had dodged a bullet.
I had seen the original production at the then 46th St. Theatre and watched the film, almost, every 4th of July. The idea of an all female production of 1776 is beyond comprehension. Why not an original musical about the women in 1776? I don't need a Ben Franklin with the gout and a vagina. |
