| But "The Nanny" used a theme song which wasn't written in 90s style. It hearkened back to an earlier jazzy swing sound, like The Boys from Syracuse's "Sing for Your Supper" with its Hugh Martin arrangement. Granted, 1938, but the Swing era began earlier than that. (Any more than ragtime-inspired music must be of the 1970s, even if it reminds one of The Sting.) |
