| It's still a tradition at IC at Halloween for RHPS. I attended a dress rehearsal ten years ago (too old for the 11 o'clock starting time), and, once I got over the shock and discomfort of seeing some of my students in states of undress (really, no more revealing than at a swimming pool, to be honest), I was moved and cheered by the production's embracing of all manner of bodies--in terms of gender, race, size, shape, ability. It felt utopian--until a drunk audience member had to be removed for unwelcome touching of a cast member. |
