I agree. I’ve never seen a production of “1776” or “Camelot”. I’d prefer to see casting as the playwright intended.
Additionally, I think real people of history should be portrayed as they were. I don’t want to see a female Thomas Jefferson or a male Emily Dickinson, for example. |
