How about Jesus? He's almost always portrayed as white, no matter what real history tells us. Let alone I'm not sure any actor playing the role has been asked to prove he can walk on water first.
I won't even go into the "as they were" requirements for a role such as MJ.
John Adams can only be played by an obnoxious and disliked actor, age 41?
