i enjoyed it. but then again, i love the source material, and felt the cast was great.
i also had an enjoyable conversation with Duke Ellington's granddaughter (i beleive that's who she was) at intermission.
i think it was early enough in the jukebox musical genre that it worked for me at the time. |
