| Also anecdotal - I was at The Kite Runner last Saturday, my first time in a Broadway house since the mask mandate was lifted. It appeared to me that about 40 - 50% of the audience was masked, not more than that. I was double masked. It was a bit anxiety provoking as I could hear unmasked people coughing around me. Truth is I wouldn’t have gone, but these tickets were purchased far in advance with a group of five close friends. At the time I didn’t know the mask mandate would be lifted, I was glad I double masked and thankfully have been fine since. It definitely felt safer when everyone was required to wear a mask and ushers were vigilant about making sure it was being worn properly. |
