I agree that it was distracting having Hawke and other actor/voice contributors giving their reactions to Newman and Woodward. It felt so talky. I thought the doc would've been better allowing the actors just to perform the words Newman or Woodward wrote and keeping the story moving forward.
P.S. I loved Paul Newman after Harper in 1966 and especially in The Verdict in 1982. I cried when he didn't win the Oscar for that performance. |
