Just started listening to the Blank cheque podcast discussing "All that Jazz" (for those who've never heard ot it, it's a podcast that looks at career retrospectives of various directors, movie by movie - their current miniseries is Bob Fosse, and they're up to All that Jazz). Their guest to discuss it is Lin-Manuel Miranda (who I know is a divisive figure because of his slightly over-determined ingratiating manner) - who brings in a copy of the original script, where Fosse apparently used the real names of many of the characters (so Leland Palmer's character is Gwen, Anne Reinking is Anne, John Lithgow is Hal Prince, Roy Schieder is Fosse).
Thought this might intrigue a couple of the more history-minded members of the chatterati. |
