| They recorded their album on the stage of the Belasco with an invited audience. Tickets were lotteried through Playbill, and I had one, but alas something came up. I can’t think of any others that weren’t recordings of live performances. | |

| Passing Strange, I think, is the only musical with both a live album and a live video recording, taped at two separate points in the run. | |

| Manhattan Center's been a recording venue for many, many years, so yes. I want to say a Broadway show in the recent past released a live rather than studio OCR, but I can't think of which. Broadway theatres aren't insulated well sound-wise, so probably not suitable for studio recording. |

| I believe both Six and On Your Feet recorded their cast albums live from a performance at the theater. I think The Woman in White did that too, although in London. "No Time at All" from the Pippin revival was recorded with hundreds of fans volunteering to be in the chorus. I don't think it was at a Broadway theater, though, but someone here may know more. The rest of the album, I believe, was recorded in typical fashion in a studio. |

| Noise/Funk was recorded live in its theater as was the Encores Pipe Dream. At least one number from the Cabaret revival with Natasha Richardson was also recorded from an actual performance. BTW, a friend of mine (and a former ATC-er) was part of that Pippin number, but I don't remember where it was recorded. |
