| My point was that when a show has been running awhile, the producers try to breath some new life into it to keep it running. That often means putting in a celebrity to bring in tourists. Lena Hall will not do that. In the beginning, it didn't matter. Is the show selling out? If it is, it won't make a difference. And even if you think that people would go see "Little Shop" for the name, imagine what "Little Shop" with a celeb would do. The other thing was that all the chat was about this big announcement coming from Little Shop. Lena Hall is a wonderful talented actress, and known to theatre folk, but it means zero to most ticket buyers. But yes, she'll be great, especially after the strangely cast Tammy Blanchard. |

| What do you mean by "strangely cast"? I have not seen this production but I did see the YouTube clips. Do you mean that she seems very strong and powerful, and therefore not a convincing Audrey (my take based on the clips)? Just wondering if you'd care to elaborate. (I remember her back in 'Gypsy' where I thought she was terrific but haven't seen her around since then so was glad to see her busy. Not that I see everything.) |

| I want to remain kind on here, so probably best to refer you to the reviews - or previous posts on this or other Bway sites. Let's just say I was very disappointed in her performance and didn't understand the casting choice. It's one of those..."out of all the musical theatre actresses in this city, this is the one you pick to portray this iconic role?" Puzzling for sure. She's a talented actress for sure, maybe just not this part. | |

| I watched the Tiny Desk concert on YouTube and thought she was wonderful. She's so emotional while he is singing. It's great acting. Is her performance there indicative of her performance in the full show? | |
