| She gave one of the greatest acting performances I ever saw in the original "Fences". The scene where she starts off lightly hitting James Earl Jones because of his revelation to her, then hitting him harder and harder, ending with a scream that seemed primal, was the highlight and is still memorable years later. A very deserved Tony Award for a terrific actress. Rest in peace. |
