| Though he certainly pulled off a triple entendre at least once, in "Everybody Loves Louis." The bread, George. I mean the bread, George. And then in bed, George, I mean he kneads me. I mean like dough, George. Baking/money/sex. And so succinctly and cleverly done. |

| Wow. Sondheim’s brain is really something else. It makes me sad to realize that "give us more to see" is no longer an option. And yet, it still is in a way - because I think there are still plenty of things to find in the richness of everything he wrote. |

| There are other clues to that in the song as well - "Louis sells what he makes" etc. It's pretty clear that Dot is getting digs in at George because he's not a lucrative artist. "Bread" and "dough" fit right in. :-) | |
