Cheyenne Jackson feels jacked to be back on Broadway

Jackson's only in ''Into the Woods'' through Tuesday (Aug. 2), but I hope this'll whet his appetite to return for a longer stint.

As wonderful as he was in ''Xanadu'' and ''Finian's Rainbow,'' I still think his best Broadway showcase has been ''All Shook Up'' (2005).

Playing Chad gave him the chance to belt over a dozen Elvis songs, play up his comic acting chops and win a Theatre World Award.

We saw ASU in Chicago before it went to NYC and Jackson was ALL THAT and more. It was a really fun, frothy take on Shakespeare with a great cast. Rockwell’s sets never cease to amaze me.

It pays the bills and that's about all it does. He get exposure from TV and it keeps him in the public eye. But that show stinks.

Jackson had a brief but memorable role in the multiple award winning Lindelof series Watchmen. Much discussed prologue when the show aired.

Cheyenne really shone as the musical villain in 'Julie and the Phantoms'

Cheyenne played Caleb, the ghostly nightclub owner, and the show spotlighted Jackson's singing and showmanship.

Below is one of his splashy musical numbers that I bet led to his Daytime Emmy nomination for the Netflix show.

(Also, he recently competed as the Prince on Fox's ''The Masked Singer,'' disguised in a regal frog costume, and finished in 3rd place.)

Jackson played this rock star getting death threats, and yes, he did get to sing, in the US version of LIFE ON MARS.

Laura in LA, who liked the British version better, but thought Cheyenne was a hoot

I did enjoy his performances in both Xanadu and All Shook Up, although I regard these shows as rather slight. However, I was very impressed with him and the entire production of the Finian's Rainbow revival. All involved really did justice to Lane and Harburg's incredible score.
