| I ran into Mary on the number 10 bus decades ago--the 70s, I think. We had a very nice conversation. Not a long one, but pleasant. At the time, a friend was writing a show with her. I told my friend to mention my chatting with Mary on the bus. When I asked my friend what Mary said about our meeting, she said Mary's response was, "I have never been on the number 10 bus." I got to know her a little some years later, but I chose not to bring up the number 10 again. |
