| I think Sinatra is the odd casting for the role of Nathan. Lane, born Joseph Lane, chose Nathan after his affinity for Nathan Detroit. (Not that an actor's affinity for a role means they're right for it, but in this case I think he is). I do wonder if Jessie Mueller will be among the funniest of Adelaides. Has she been asked to be that comic in the past? |

| I would love to see her take a crack as The Baker’s Wife in ITW after Sara Bareilles leaves. I think Mueller has the earthiness and “everywoman” vibe that’s needed for the role. | |

| Mueller was very funny in The Mystery of Edwin Drood. And she's played Adelaide at least once before - in 2011 at the Marriott Theatre outside Chicago. | |
