I think Sinatra is the odd casting for the role of Nathan. Lane, born Joseph Lane, chose Nathan after his affinity for Nathan Detroit. (Not that an actor's affinity for a role means they're right for it, but in this case I think he is).
I do wonder if Jessie Mueller will be among the funniest of Adelaides. Has she been asked to be that comic in the past? |
