| I agree that Sinatra should have played Sky in the Guys and Dolls film. Someone like Phil Silvers would have been better casting as Nathan in the film. | |

| Would love to have seen Phil Silvers as Nathan Detroit - that would have been great casting. His would have been a perfect match with Adelaide. | |

| Silvers would have been perfect. I don't like the film version of Guys and Dolls at all, it's lifeless and the solid individual elements it contains never come together. I love Sinatra, but once his Oscar establlshed that he was "back,' he was usually more about the business of being Sinatra than anything else. I'm glad he walked off the set of Carousel a year later. |

| sinatra didn't take kindly to Loesser's 'coaching' him on how to sing a particular musical phrase; that was at the start of the film and they didn't speak after that. | |
