| Yes, the costumes were very confusing and surprisingly unflattering. I didn't love the set, but there is one great scene change/transformation that I won't spoil. It got the only spontaneous applause in the entire show. |

| The song feels like an attempt at a Kinky Boots vibe but you feel the heavy lifting. It struck me as a weak clone of the successful “My Strongest Suit” in Aida. It’s all hook no build. And that’s the teased out hit. It’s a show in dire need of a top shelf score to justify its existence. And then maybe a bankable star in the Streep role. I say that as a die hard Leavel fan. |

| Leavel feels so stifled in the role. Never allowed to do what she does best. It was hard to watch, as I normally adore her. | |
