| Yes--it was meant to be released in movie theaters. At the time, there was a small trend of filmed plays being showed in movie theaters (Give "Em Hell Harry, American Film Theater) where the producer usually rented out the theatre for the night or the week. I recall seeing a ton of ads for this in Variety, heralding that it was available, but I don't think it ended playing in too many places. |
