| Was it in the film? Was it in the composer’s files from when the musical was being created? And what is this number supposed to mean…..men dancing athletically with attaché cases in their hands. The night I saw the current production, Ramin Karimloo smiled very broadly, acknowledging that the audience really felt that he had « nailed » the number and was applauding very enthusiastically. Of course, it is obvious that the number is supposed to reinforce the idea that Nicky Arnstein is involved in shady business dealings, but does anyone understand, more specifically, what is going on in that number? |
