| There is a great deal of detail about the production of this show in the Gower Champion biography "Before the Parade Passes By". It's quite a fascinating read, as Champion was struggling with technology that just wasn't there yet, somewhat losing the show in the process. I wish I had seen it. The book is full of great history of Gower and Marge Champion's early years, his approach to choreography as a form of storytelling and how that developed into his Broadway career. |
