It seems so sudden for Lynch to announce her departure only days before leaving Sunday (Aug. 14). And it's her third departure date.
On June 15, it was announced that Lynch and Beanie Feldstein would be playing through Sept. 25.
On July 11, It was announced that Lynch and Feldstein would leave Sept. 4 (and that Lea Michele and Tovah Feldshuh would start Sept. 6).
On July 12, the Emmy nominations came out, and Lynch (''Only Murders in the Building'') is one of 6 up for Guest Actress in a Comedy.
Her category will be given out at the Creative Emmys, held Sept. 3-4 in L.A. (Lynch is a 13-time Emmy nominee and 5-time winner.)
According to Deadline.com, Lynch had a scheduled weeklong vacation, starting Aug. 15, and then would return to ''Funny Girl'' on Aug. 23. She'd then leave for the Emmys on Sept. 1. The producers say rather than have Lynch return for a week, they revised her final performance to Aug. 14.
Why couldn't they figure this out weeks ago? And was Lynch sick during the July 30-31 weekend? She missed Feldstein's final performance.
