I'm with you. Since the re-opening of theatre in NY, the Times has passed on reviewing shows, claiming space problems. And passed on doing articles about various productions, claiming space problems. Here we are 9 months after Diana closed. Who is the audience for this article? In the 50+ years I have been following theatre in the Times, the only 'Opinion' pieces I have read about shows have usually been in letters. Or in articles about playwrights (remember David Hare and PLENTY?) or producers protesting bad reviews. But not an article about a huge flop, pretty universally panned by crix and audiences alike - telling us 9 months later how truly 'fab; the show was.
