The problem was with her voice, which was a light television voice and too contemporary for an old school theatrical diva like Lily Garland. What I remember was how she threw herself all over Alec Baldwin when they fought like she didn't care when she climbed all over him if she fell on her head. She had real abandon and took risks with the physical comedy. Definitely an actress that made you keep guessing what would happen next.

This is a loss and I can only say that I am glad that there were no other fatal victims but herself from her terrible breakdown last week. My compassion to the woman who lost her home and possessions. Also to the family of Ms. Heche who are struggling with her loss especially her younger son who is 13.
