Thanks, Alan. I saw Lyndeck as Cinderella's Father in ''Into the Woods,'' but I wish I'd seen him as the Narrator/Mysterious Man, too.
By any chance, do you know why Lyndeck, the original Rev. John Witherspoon in ''1776,'' didn't get to do the 1972 movie of it?
It seemed like a number of the Broadway cast got to reprise their roles (i.e., Daniels, DaSilva, Ford, Holgate, Howard, Vestoff).
(I once got to befriend Lyndeck briefly, and saw him in ''Sweeney Todd'' and ''A Doll's Life.'' What a wonderful actor and gentleman!) |
