Sondheim said he was so impressed by how Frank Loesser set the phrase ''some irresponsible dress manufacturer'' to music in ''How to Succeed.''
I've always suspected that ''imperturbable perspicacity'' in ''Come Play Wiz Me'' was his mini-homage to Loesser.
And when it comes to multisyllabic words, Sondheim went even further with ''extraterritoriality'' in ''Please Hello'' in ''Pacific Overtures.''
