| In the old-fashioned musical, it was something of a tradition to give a big number to a minor character. In the revival of Anything Goes, Buddy beware; in Kiss Me Kate, Brush up your Shakepeare; in Evita Another Suitcase in another hall; ... one might argue that Here's to the Ladies Who Lunch falls under this general category. |
