| You're absolutely right. The lucidity is the thing about this production. It also takes time to establish and clarify relationships in a way sometimes (maybe often) doesn't happen. For one thing, it makes totally clear that Hamlet and Ophelia are hot for each other, not to mention the strong sexual connection between Claudius and Gertrude. |
