Brewer is a gifted, emotionally layered actor, as anyone who has watched her for four seasons as the embattled Jennine knows. She finally scored an Emmy nomination after earning one from the first episode, in my opinion. It's also news that an(other) American has landed the ever-coveted role. Joining her is Callum Scott Howells, BAFTED nominated for It's a Sin. Naysayers will say, "TV actors," but these two are arguably superb ones. Brewer, from NJ, was musical theater trained. |
