| Me too. While I was able to recognize that Hugh Jackman was not really playing your "typical" Harold Hill, he (and Sutton) both had tons of charm, and were clearly having themselves a ball in the production. And the ensemble (especially those dancing kids) really hit it out of the park. I was able to overlook the show's flaws and have a really great time; nothing wrong with smiling and laughing for 2.5 hours! And from the audience's reaction, I was not alone. |
