Definitely, and maybe non-Jewish women had done so.
I actually am glad they are committed (so far) to casting a Jewish actor to play Fanny. But I'm definitely implying they won't stick to that if they find a gentile to do it who fits the role and will sell tickets, especially after 2 major actors who are Jewish have played Fanny in this revival.
