You're joking. "Rent" is wonderful, and it captured something vital about the 90s counterculture, but slacker Bohemians fighting gentrification through performance art is a much more niche story than the founding of America by George Washington and a Hero Banker. "Hamilton" plays to all quadrants, as ryhog points out; it has remained a hot ticket longer into its run than "Rent" did; and it has proven an international success in a way that "Rent" did not.
I get that you don't like "Hamilton", but you're letting your ideals blind you to reality. |
