Pointing out factual errors and inaccuracies is not an act of cruelty. Responding to being told you goofed with a series of quotes on the order of “Gee, let’s all be kind to each other,” just makes you look silly, especially if you have any notion at all who AlanScott is, and the depth of his theatrical knowledge.
But maybe you’ll catch on if I give you a little Alexander Pope:
