It's amusing to me to check availability of the volume on Amazon. It's seems to work like the stock market in terms of availability and price. Currently the price is $38.50, shipping in three to five weeks. Yesterday's price was $31.50 and it was out of stock. I ordered it earlier at $23.50 and I'm supposed to get it sometime in September.
I'm curious to know about this seemingly unexpected (at least by the publisher) demand. I realize that the placement of the review in the New York Times certainly made a difference. I wonder if people outside the theater going community are getting dibs on what should have gone to us first. |
