Question about the Delacorte line and seniors, and a whinge
Posted by: Showtunegal 09:15 am EDT 08/17/22

I've waited in line in Central Park for tickets to Free Shakespeare in the Park many times, so am familiar with the routine, when to get there, and how to do it comfortably. A friend asked for advice on the line, and I gave it to her. Now she asks me, she is 70 and wants to wait in the seniors line, but can her younger friend wait with her in that line, not the regular line, and together can they pick up 4 tickets in the same location? i.e. can her young friend also get 2 tickets while waiting in seniors line? I said I doubted it (I don't remember any non-seniors in the seniors line) but that I would ask here if anyone had intel. My whinge is just that this is typical of this friend! First time in 40 years she's waiting for a ticket and still expecting it to bend to her convenience. (also I'm cranky today.)
