It seems to fit the original mission, and the score has plenty of gems to enjoy. I only know the cast recording and the Tonys performance, so I can't speak to what is really required of the show's leading lady beyond being a strong singer and dancer, but I always wondered if Sutton Foster would be ideal casting in a staged concert setting.
