Little mermaid, lion king, Mary poppies were running all with very popular movie scores. So shrek was a new unfamiliar score. Also billy Elliot and 13 opened that fall although 13 would close soon.
I think the songs are ok for the show but nothing memorable. I didn’t even buy the cd.
I think the production was one of the most expensive ever mounted at $25m. Of course Spider-Man would surpass that in 2010. |
