Gotta chime in again. I adored FLORA, THE RED MENACE as a child. For my birthday I asked my parents for tickets to the show. I'd already seen Liza in CARNIVAL and THE FANTASTICKS and nothing was going to stop me from seeing her in her Broadway debut (also saw her later in THE PAJAMA GAME where I fell in love with Luba Lisa who gave me my first celebrity kiss but I'm digressing..lol). Needless to say, Liza was wonderful as Flora and the score has remained one of my favorites to this day. The only thing that surprised me was the abrupt ending to the show. After she performed "Sing Happy" there was a wee bit of dialogue and all of a sudden the cast all came out singing "You Are You' and the curtain came down. It was like, "Wow, what just happened?"
