| My husband and I have used "Little Lamb" and Styne's "What's New At The Zoo" as examples of songs we least enjoy in a score for years. I'm not saying "Little Lamb" should have been dropped and I've even read Styne threatened to pull his score from the show if it was removed. Over the years I admit I've warmed up to the song and can appreciate it as Louise's introspective moment in the show. But it's also the track I skip whenever listening to the cast recording. Can we agree it works fine in the show but is a song that I can't recall any singer covering outside of the show? |
