| It was a show-stealing moment. In fact, Dussault stole the whole show. I recall hearing that the audience was so taken with her (they definitely loved her at the matinee I saw) that out of town they did their best to try to achieve a balance between her role and Chita's. The fact that Chita played a villainous character probably didn't help either though I thought she was wonderful too. BAJOUR, like FLORA, was a mindless show that was thoroughly enjoyable. And for $9.95 for an orchestra seat ($3.50 for the balcony), you couldn't go wrong. But I still wish I had had the opportunity to see her in other shows (other than SOUND OF MUSIC on a class field trip). I do have great memories of seeing her cabaret shows with Karen Morrow. Another great underused talent. |
