| Thank you so much, Laura. And thanks for the great Pope quote, which I don't recall having read before. I must admit that I was a bit annoyed when I replied here to ActorsChannel two days ago, and I do think it showed. I don't like it myself when I allow my annoyance to show like that, but in this case, there were reasons. I started a reply to your very sweet post in which I went into a bit of detail about those reasons. I am not sure at this point whether the discussion on this page last year about that quiz was in direct response to the posting of that link here last year by ActorsChannel. Because of that, the post I was writing was becoming too long and complicated with too many uncertainties. I am sure, however, that a couple of the quiz questions were discussed here last year, with questions about the accuracy of at least one or two of them raised by people other than me. I think that the only reason I went to look at the quiz was because of the discussion here about the accuracy of one or two of the answers in the quiz. In a reply, I am pretty sure that I mentioned that there were at least six errors in the quiz. Someone who had posted in the thread asked if I would post the list of errors. I can't recall if I responded to that person at all, but I know that I did not post the list of errors, partly because I didn't feel like typing it all up. If I didn't reply to that person, I apologize now. In the last couple of years, I have often had trouble completing and posting replies here. I used to be so diligent about that, perhaps excessively so at times, feeling that I had to reply to every single person who responded to any comment of mine here. What I can definitely say because I saw it two days ago on youtube is that someone replied on the youtube page with the quiz by pointing out what is perhaps the most glaring and obvious error in the quiz. That reply on youtube was posted before my reply there last year. Two days ago in the morning when I went to the page, that other person's reply was still there. Later that day, it was gone. Meanwhile, that most glaring of the errors in the quiz, the one specifically pointed out by that other person in a reply (now gone) on that page, was still in the quiz as of a few minutes ago. Within the quiz, a note about the wrong year being listed for Sweeney Todd had been made at some point since the quiz was first posted. Someone managed to do that, but not to do anything about no. 4 in the quiz, at least as of a few minutes ago. There is also a question in the quiz that I doubt anyone has managed to answer correctly because of a typo in the question that makes even an educated guess virtually impossible. |
